PHI SIGMA PI finds its basis on the ideals of scholarship, leadership, and fellowship.  Scholarship is defined as the knowledge resulting from study and research in a field, or the methods, discipline, and attainments of a scholar or scholars.  Leadership is defined as the capacity or the ability to lead, and Fellowship is defined as a close association of friends; friendship or comradeship.  With these ideals comes the formation of Phi Sigma Pi's Tripod.  With the Tripod, Phi Sigma Pi seeks to fulfill its purpose of the:

  • Acquisition and dissemination and knowledge and information

  • The Application of professional skills and  the advancement of the welfare of humanity

  • The fostering of non-discriminatory, fraternal fellowship within the fraternity ranks.

In Achieving these goals, Phi Sigma Pi brothers become more balanced individuals, ready to move into society with a unique knowledge and awareness of themselves and the society around them.  Through the tripod, Phi Sigma Pi brothers become stronger people who are able to work for a stronger community.

But the Tripod does not just effect the brothers individually, it especially effects the Collegiate Chapters and the national Fraternity.  A balanced Tripod signifies a a balanced Chapter.  A balanced chapter means that the organization is best able to be a driving force to the community around them. The Fact is, Phi Sigma Pi brothers are some of the best students on their college campuses, and and when they work together to fulfill the goals through the tripod, to be balanced individuals and a balanced chapter, Phi Sigma Pi Brothers are unstoppable.
