About National Convention
The Quintessential Phi Sigma Pi
Celebration. National Convention is a time of bonding,
education, and the continuing of the ideals of brotherhood
so essential to Phi Sigma Pi. It offers a time
of fraternal fellowship that is unmatched.
Starting in 2007, National Convention
and Grand Chapter were combined into one mega-event, spanning
several days, beginning on Thursday and ending on Sunday.
The Grand Chapter portion of convention begins Thursday and ends
on Friday. On
Friday evening there is typically partial registration and the ever famous chapter
bazaar. At the bazaar, the collegiate chapters will sell
Phi Sigma Pi Memorabilia and merchandise from T-shirts to
buttons. After the bazaar, brothers are free to hang out,
get to know other brothers from all over, or just wind down from
their long road trip.
Saturday at convention offers the
Leadership Institute. Here, brothers have the chance to
share ideas and learn more about handling chapter business.
Workshops are offered, covering topics such as Alumni Relations,
Recruiting, Public Relations, and Service just to name a few.
Saturday evening presents the awards banquet in which the
various accomplishments from the collegiate chapters are
recognized and honored. In the convention After Hours,
brothers have the chance to dance the night away.
Previous Convention Locations have been
Baltimore, Washington D.C., Cincinnati Ohio, and Atlanta Georgia just to
name a few. Phi Sigma Pi celebrated its 90th anniversary at the
Peachtree Westin Hotel in Atlanta Georgia.
