PHI SIGMA PI, In Retrospect

By David Rosengrant

alpha Omega 222

h. Alpha Theta 235

I joined PSP back in the spring of 1996.  I joined because I wanted something different then the typical Greek fraternity.  I wanted to belong to a group that had high academic standards and did more then just party every weekend.  Alpha Omega chapter was everything I could have wanted for in an organization.  It was an amazing group of people.  I then found out that the rest of the organization was like that.  Phi sigma Pi is basically a good thing.  It takes good people and helps make them better while improving the world around them.  This is why I continued to stay so active and then go on to serve national council for 3 years.  After a hiatus for a few years I started to get back into the organization by being an alumni advisor and then reactivating alpha theta chapter.  I do this because I want to help the best organization out there.  It has given me a lot of life lessons, both good and bad.  I have learned a lot about myself.  I have learned a lot of leadership skills which have prepared for my life as a future professor.
