What is Phi Sigma Pi?


Phi Sigma Pi is a Co-educational National Honor Fraternity, founded in 1916.  The fraternity is currently located at 95 chapters across the country, with 4,139 undergraduate members and over 25,000 alumni members.

 

 

Is Phi Sigma Pi a social Greek organization?


Phi Sigma Pi maintains no affiliation with the Social Greek System, although Phi Sigma Pi chapters have social events and strongly encourages fraternal fellowship throughout its membership.

 

 

Why are members referred to as “brothers” if the fraternity is co-educational?


The term brotherhood is a term that transcends gender, therefore, the term brothers are used to refer all members of the fraternity.  With that said, the term “member” is also used depending on the preference of the chapter.

 

 

What are the requirements to join Phi Sigma Pi?


Typically, one must have a 3.0 GPA to join Phi Sigma Pi, although different chapters may have different GPA requirements.  Also, to join you must have between 12 and 90 academic credit hours.  This typically means that first-semester freshman have to wait until their second semester to obtain the 12 hours necessary for them to rush.  For more detailed requirements, go here.

Yes, Phi Sigma Pi is a re-known National Honor Fraternity, with over 4,000 members spread out across the 95 chapters in the country.

 

 

What is your Anti-Hazing Policy


 

 Phi Sigma Pi takes a serious stance against hazing.  The furthering of the Fraternity ideals of scholarship, fellowship, and leadership are only harmed by hazing, and simply put, the fraternity wants nothing to do with any actions that will cause emotional or physical duress to any member, whether they be initiate or brother.  To find out more about Phi Sigma Pi’s anti-hazing policy, just click here.
