Random Quotes….

16. September 2006 Kategorie Uncategorized | 0 Kommentare »

So, brother Matt McKenzie from the Gamma Epsilon Chapter at the University of Florida has sent in a list of random quotes that came from a long road trip to the 2004 National Convention which was held in Memphis.  For all of you who don’t know, sometimes even the Road-trips to Convention are memorable, with brothers spending hours (sometimes 10+) in a car slowly going insane and saying random and sometimes hilarious things.  (David, Tabatha and Collins from Gamma Delta can agree with me on that after that crazy road trip to the 2006 Mid-South Regional Conference.)

But, lets get this party started with some of the random quotes that came from brother Matt McKenzie’s road trip to the 2004 National Convention.   (for the record, the four people who were in the car were Matt, Dani Hasson who was the president of Gamma Epsilon at the time, Laura Dimsey, and Kelly Tibbles.)

  • Dimsey – Yay! Hills! We’re not in Florida anymore!
  • Matt – That’s an overpass
  • Dani – When you say jacket, do you really mean…Dani and Kelly – PANTS!!!

  • “She looked like Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”
  • -         Dani

  • “Matt says he wants to be on top…OK, it just got weird.”
  • -         Dani

  • “Say Joe, John and Sheilia are running for potato picker of Marion County…”
  • -         Dani

  • Kelly – I could coast behind that semi and save you a dollar.
  • Matt- We’re not drafting in my cutlass supreme.
  • Kelly – But the dollar! Think of everything you could do with that dollar!

So, those are just some of the quotes that I have.  I will post more as time passes and it comes closer to Convention time!  And if you have any other funny Convention stories or quotes, then go ahead and send them to me at kwilli15@gmail.com.  (Make sure they are  PG stories ;)   And whoever sends in the funniest story, wins a prize!  (And when I say prize, I really mean a thank you from me and the satisfaction that you sent in a funny convention story, and when I say a thank you and satisfaction, I really mean you don’t actually get anything. )  With that said, go ahead, and send stuff in.

While we wait

So…while we wait for the registrations packets to go out… I figure I would throw up a random Road to Convention Blog Update.  So, just to go ahead and get some formailities out of the way, let me go ahead and introduce myself.  I am Kyle Williams, and I from the Gamma Delta Chapter, located at the University of West Georgia.  I became a brother in the Spring of 2005 and I have a great time ever since.  Other little tid-bits about me:

  • I was the former alumni chair of the Gamma Delta Chapter last year (05-06)
  • Currently the Regional Delegate for Gamma D
  • Current Webmaster for the chapter, the Atlanta Area Alumni Association Website, and of course…Phi Sigma Pi Nation

Yeah, thats about it.  Hopefully soon, I will have some good ole’ fashion Convention updates for you all!
